Humility is an attitude of the heart. C.S. Lewis said it like this ” True humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less”.
Jesus modeled this above all else when He said in John 5:19 “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
Jesus knew He needed to be totally yielded to everything His Father asked of Him. As the saying goes, “like Father, like Son! Jesus was and is the express image of His Father that allowed Him to fully demonstrate the kingdom of heaven on earth (Hebrews 1:3 NLT).
So if Jesus showed us what this looked like, then we must do the same.
